DR SWARUP KR GHOSH

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Dr. Swarup Kr Ghosh is presently working as an Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata. He received the Ph.D. from MAKAUT in the year 2023. Dr. Ghosh also received Master of Technology from the University of Calcutta. His teaching experience comprises 10 years and 11 years in research. He has published more than 37 research articles in various reputed journals (SCI/SCIE/ESCI) and conference proceedings. He is also a reviewer of some reputed journals like IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Access, Artificial Intelligence Review—Springer, Multimedia Tools and Applications—Springer, IET system biology, IET image processing, The Computer journal- Oxford Academic. His research interests include Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Medical Imaging, Machine Learning, Data Science and Soft Computing. He was previously associated as Assistant professor in some prestigious institutes like National Power training Institute (ER) Durgapur. He was also research assistant in Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Kolkata.

Dr. Swarup Kr Ghosh is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata. He holds a Ph.D. from MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology), awarded in 2023, and a Master of Technology degree from the University of Calcutta. With over 10 years of teaching experience and 11 years dedicated to research, Dr. Ghosh has established himself as a prominent figure in academia and research.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ghosh has contributed significantly to the field of computer science with more than 37 research articles published in various reputed journals and conference proceedings, including SCI/SCIE/ESCI indexed publications. He serves as a reviewer for esteemed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Access, Artificial Intelligence Review (Springer), Multimedia Tools and Applications (Springer), IET System Biology, IET Image Processing, and The Computer Journal (Oxford Academic).

Dr. Ghosh's research interests are diverse and include Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Medical Imaging, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Soft Computing. His doctoral and subsequent research has focused on developing advanced methodologies in bioinformatics, computational biology, and medical imaging, leveraging machine learning and data science techniques to address complex challenges in these domains.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Ghosh held positions as an Assistant Professor at prestigious institutes such as the National Power Training Institute (ER) in Durgapur and served as a research assistant at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to advancing knowledge through research, fostering innovation in teaching, and mentoring students in cutting-edge technologies within the realm of computer science and engineering.
