DR. SADIP MIDYA

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Dr. Sadip Midya has done his M.Tech in Information Technology from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (Formerly WBUT). He has also received a M.Sc degree in Computer Science from St.Xaviers College, Kolkata. He was appointed as a Research Assistant from 2017 to 2021, under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) (a Govt. of India project assisted by the World Bank) at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, where he registered for completing his Phd Degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He has been awarded the PhD degree from the University. His research areas include Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, Internet of Vehicles and Vehicular Clouds.

DR. SADIP MIDYA biography

Dr. Sadip Midya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata. He completed his M.Tech in Information Technology from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and holds an M.Sc degree in Computer Science from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He pursued his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, where he also served as a Research Assistant.

With a keen interest in research, Dr. Midya has made significant contributions to the fields of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), Internet of Vehicles (IoV), and Vehicular Clouds. His doctoral research focused on Nature-Inspired Algorithms and their applications in optimizing the performance of IoV systems. He has authored over 20 publications in reputed international journals and conferences, showcasing his expertise in these domains.

Dr. Midya brings over 3 years of teaching experience as a Guest Lecturer in a Calcutta University affiliated college, where he mentored students in Computer Science. He has also received grants and awards for his research, including a minor project grant from TEQIP for his work on efficient handoff management in VANETs during his M.Tech program.

His skills encompass a broad spectrum of technical and academic competencies, making him a valuable asset in both teaching and research at Sister Nivedita University.
